1978 Ovation Glen Campbell Signature 12 String Acoustic/Electric Guitar in Alabaster, AL

Great guitar. Plays well, sound great, and has the distinction of being a unique semi collectible instrument. I play this guitar in our praise team at church and am selling it only because I?m concerned about the constant transport back and forth to church will eventually lead to damage of this unique guitar. I?d rather sell it to someone that would be able to preserve its aesthetic value better than I can.The guitar was manufactured between April and December 1978. It?s model # 1618. Serial number of [removed phone]. It has the signature on the truss rod cover at the base of the head stock.This guitar has been professionally checked over and setup by highly skilled luthier here in the Birmingham area. He indicated the guitar is in perfect playing condition and suffers from no aging, wear, or damage that would be of any concern.It is in amazing condition given its age and the history of this style of instrument. I?ve found very few surface abrasions that are so slight they are not even noticeable from a few feet away.I did verify the value of the instrument with a profession collectable dealer and they placed its street value at $[removed phone]. I am looking to sell it for $500 and that would include its original fiberglass hard case that is in reasonable condition with a few scuff marks but structurally more than capable of protecting the guitar.
